Tom Hetherington Now

What fills my Hours: Extended naps, chairing the Watsontown Planning Commission, being the Watsontown Santa ’18 & ’19 (bucket list item), mentoring a group of ladies in their multi-level marketing development, and trying to get to grandkids’ events.

Family/Children: I married Bonita (Bonnie) Zwank ‘68 and we have been married since August 17, 1968, (50+ years). We were blessed with two children, Eric Hunter and Cori Joanne. Both have master’s degrees, respectively in Business and Corporate Communications. Eric and his wife, Vonda (Director of Clinical Nutrition at Geisinger Medical Center), have two children, Thomas and Lauren. Thomas is a junior in HS, and Lauren is in the 6th grade. Both are active in athletics and are doing very well in the academic side (my son’s and his bride’s doings).

Recent Awards: Being named the “Most Conservative” Pinochle player by the WPA (Watsontown Pinochle Association), 2018

After Central: Taught 10 grade world history in an all black high school, was an elementary school principal K-7 during the first year of integration in Georgia, discovered I could sell things and ideas and did so in B2B world.

Phi Delta Tau Memories: Always loosing at hearts when Canfield was involved, great outings, Fred Fahrbach’s winter jacket with the target on the back, Tom Van Beek playing R&R, Rick Fairlamb playing his guitar, the Beach Boys blaring from the house, George Smith always looking like he was up to something, John Cobb and the great Red Rock Damn event, Hunters, Ray and Harry’s, south end, Dubit’
