After Central:
I went back to my home town of Sheboygan, WI. taking the summer off to
play softball and enjoy the relaxed life of no school. But then reality hit and I started to look for a job. I ended up in Waukesha, a suburb of Milwaukee, at the First National Bank of Waukesha where I worked for the next 10 years as a loan officer, my life long occupation. In late 1981, I accepted a job with Republic Bank in downtown Dallas, then the 21st largest bank in the country and a huge culture change! Cindy and I packed up our 4-year-old daughter and 9 month old son and moved to Carrollton, a Dallas suburb. I changed jobs in Dallas and when the oil/real estate collapse hit Texas things weren’t the same. Through a friend from Republic Bank, we moved to Columbia, MO. in 1991 where we’ve been ever since. I retired 7 years ago and Cindy is going to join me at the end of this year.

Family:
My college sweetheart, Cindy, became my wife on June 26, 1971. That was and still is the best thing that’s happened in my life! Our daughter, Andrea was born in 1977 and our son, Adam, in 1981. Both of our kids live in Denver. Andrea and her husband both are in medical sales. But the best job they’ve done is presenting us with our 5-year-old grandson, Andrew! Needless to say, our job is to spoil him as best we can! Adam and his significant other, Cali, live blocks from the Rockies Stadium. Adam is a mechanical engineer and Cali is going to pharmacy school.

Phi Delt Memories:
As has been already stated by other brothers, where do you begin? The most important thing to me has been the incredible friends that were made and that I’m still in touch with today, Jerry, Mike, Tony, Fisch, Pete and Todd. Sadly, some others are no longer here in person but certainly are in the Phi Delt spirit. Beyond that there was The Grill, Hunters, Dubits, Florida trips and then skipping a good share of the spring classes to keep our tans going, all-nighters, pledging, hazing, Mama Lacqua’s spaghetti dinner, encircling the Graham Hall flagpole with tires etc. Thanks to the guys that came before us to allow us this privilege which I hope will continue forever!
